THE PLAYLIST

The author Gabor Pox, who always wanted to be an artist and then became a technician, surprises us with an unusual autobiography. He tells twenty selected days of his life backwards, from today to his birth. His great passion is cinema. In each chapter, a suitable cult film is incorporated into the narrative, giving the book a real cinematic feel. The big questions of life – what is coincidence, what is fate, what is already written – are lost in this backwards movement. The reader takes a seat in the movie theater where the film “Memento” is playing. The future disappears in a kind of amnesia because everything is absorbed into the past. Is it possible to change something at the end of the story so that the artist’s dream can still come true? An exciting journey in which nothing is invented. Life writes the best stories.

The Playlist was created to the book „Mein großes Kino“ (currently German language only).
